Peggy Frazier O'Connor - Testimony

My childhhood had challenges, but I look at those years and think how blessed I was.  I grew up traveling with my parents all around the country and seeing God move supernaturally in so many ways.  When I was sixteen my father gave one last spirit-filled sermon in Westlake, Louisiana.  A few hours later, he went to be with the Lord.  My father’s revelation teaching has left an imprint on me that lasts to this day.

Later, I pursued a career in theatre in New York, but I gave  that up to go back to my roots as a Christian concert artist for a few years before I gave that up to marry and raise a family. My dreams of having both a fulfilling marriage and ministry, however, slipped through my fingers as I experienced the tragedy of divorce, my mother's terminal cancer and many other heartbreaking experiences.

Still, God has been faithful to me and given me the desires of my heart.  I found love again with my new husband.  I also found healing and restoration unexpectedly in a department store as a makeup consultant.  What I thought was a career failure became the revelation of God's overwhelming love for me and my understanding that He was not through with me.  My encounters with women were so divinely orchestrated and meaningful, that they compelled me to write my first book, “Makeup Lessons”.

God gives us a chance to begin again.  No matter what challenges we have had to face, or setbacks we have suffered, God is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in us.  I know that He has truly given me beauty for ashes.  My music, my book and my productions demonstrate that God is able to take what has been marred and broken to transform a life by His mercy and grace.

It is my most sincere prayer that my ministry can help each person to understand the all-consuming, unconditional love of God.  If I can effectively communicate Him to a world that is broken, hurt and confused, than I will have succeeded in giving honor and glory to the One who has given everything for me.
